1. If you are going to get in the military then learn to have thick skin. Start with this thread. Change your user name and drive on.
2. If you do get in then go for something in combat arms, imo. It doesn't matter what. You will be a leader of men and that will prepare you for when you get out.
3. 18 series sounds cool and is cool. You sure as heck better want to do it for more than that or Camp Mckall will be in your rear view faster than you can say "land nav."
You will have time to figure out if you want to do this. Otherwise, there are plenty of great avenues.
