SMs are encouraged to take 15 days leave, and the theater policy here is to get the first one star in COC to sign off if they opt NOT to take leave during deployment.

ARCENT G1 is saying the COC cannot deny this request, but I'm curious if anyone else has dealt with this before.

Can you legally make someone take R&R?

On my first three tours, I did not take R&R. No issues...

Now, R&R is not chargable - why not take it? I did (although too early in my current tour).

Yes, you just cannot decide WHEN they do it. As far as I know, everyone is required to submit per CC CG.
