I am not the singer. The singer is a pisshead, an outstanding cadet, and awesome person if you got to know him. We have done nothing but approach this with respect. We are not out to hurt anyone or disrespect or embarrass Texas A&M in any way. We are just having fun and sharing it with others.

Doesn't really matter what you are "out to do". What you are doing is hurting and embarrassing Texas A&M and the Corps of Cadets.

The problem is your foolish publishing of the video in an open format where people who are out to harm Texas A&M and the Corps have easy access to it.

Fortunately there were only 320 views when I had a look so, it looks like there aren't too many people who have had the misfortune of watching this.

I guess in these days of 15 seconds of Internet Fame, maybe this guy thought he was going to become the next Rebecca Black - Friday.

I did think it's funny that one of the videos suggested on the sidebar was Lady Gaga - Born this way.

In this day of every idiot having a cell phone that shoots video, I guess it's a logical extension that we would get crap like this. It's been what? - about 8-9 years ago that some dumbass BQs posted pix with naked guys in duct tape. The only saving grace then is that there weren't as many people online as there are today.

What's sad is that this guy appears to have enough talent/facilities/resources that he could actually produce something worthwhile.

And when did A-2 change their name from "Renegades" to "Peacekeepers"? How lame is that?

And seriously, there are a few things that should only be shared between graduates of senior military colleges and not with randoms on the Internet who haven't earned it, don't deserve it and wouldn't understand it anyway.

Totally inappropriate outside a Corps dorm. I felt myself blush watching it. Do some of the participants have those tendencies (not sure of what the PC terminology is this week)? You would have a difficult time convincing an outsider that they did not.

I happen to know Hayden and can say that he is one of the best cadets out of the class of '12. Whether or not he is commissioning, that last comment a ways back was extremely disrespectful. This video was a spin-off of the song by country music singer Eric Church and was made to kick up a few laughs. Some of you guys have entirely too much time on your hands. Some people just can't appreciate a little creative joke.

So exactly how is it disrespectful to point out that putting something stupid online may come back to bite you in the butt? It's well documented that employers, creditors, potential spouses and security folks will look at things one has posted online when trying to establish one's trustworthiness.

I'd say the ones with too much time on their hands are the ones who took the hours necessary to write the song, shoot the video and post it here saying "Look at me!". But maybe that's just me.

And as has been pointed out time after time, it is not about "getting a joke". It is about exposing A&M and the Corps to ridicule.

"Back in the Day" and I suspect even now, cadets say stupid stuff, curse, call each other derisive names, trade insults, etc. But when we stepped outside the dorm in uniform, we kept it to ourselves. We didn't take pains to publicize our internal "humor", knowing that outsiders would not get it.

Thank goodness we didn't have media available to publish our idiocy to the world in milliseconds.


Bottom line, it is down now, I hope it is truly down for good. Perhaps the folks who put it up and their supporters have learned a little lesson in decorum.

I suspect those who are upset that it received such negative attention from the old farts will moderate their opinion when they have been away from Aggieland a few years.

I'm glad they took it down. I stand by my previous statement, though. He may be a great guy, but I know that if he was in my squadron he would get absolutely crushed if a video like that surfaced. That's not a threat or an insult, just a fact.
