Not sure it's a game changer, more like another tool in the bag. I certainly wouldn't want to hump it through the mountains.

It's a secondary weapon so you have to carry it in addition to all the other crap you are already carrying and I'm not sure it could be used a lot different from the 203.

That weapon, while cool and flashy, seeks to fix a problem that isn't entirely there.

The COL in charge of this puppy says the weapon will get rid of the need for a soldier to maneuver.

Wow. I completely disagree with you guys. I would have loved having one of those as a PL in Ramadi. 5.56 and 7.62 do a pretty crappy job of penetrating brick, stone, and rock. If I can kill a guy on the other side of cover without having to fire(or carry) an AT4, I am much more effective in a firefight.

Tactically we are already sound, so now we are more tactically sound? Not the problem in Afghanistan. This is certainly nice for the boys on the ground but better strategy and the operational art are needed to pull off the win!
