From my class of 1950 dad they day I got my driver's license.......Son, if you're gonna drive the streets of San Antonio, just assume everybody is drunk.

People are stupid

If you ever have to fight, throw the first punch.

Some days chicken salad, some day chicken sh*t.

If you are gonna be dumb, you better be tough.

Also, being on time is being there early. As much as it drove us crazy as kids, it's helped me through life.

When I was a kid hanging around a group of trouble makers in my neighborhood, my dad (class of '62) who never cussed told me:

"Son, if you walk around in ****, you are going to smell like ****"

No telling where I would be if I had not taken that advice. 2 of those 3 guys had serious drug habits by graduation and didn't amount to much after high school. I don't even know if the 3rd guy ever finished.
