Had a regular doc that the clinic got bought out by WellMed and now they are unusable. Anyone out there have any recs? I usually just have annuals with blood work for my prescriptions so I'm not looking for any specialization or urgent major care.

I ****ing hate wellmed.

He's not seeing new patients. I'm trying to get in with a nurse practitioner in the clinic, that is fine for what I need. Maybe I can convince him I'm you, we look so similar.

Yes, OP, if you could use gynecology services, then you might check out getting him to see his wife. I am sure she is very good.

I just put the King and King together. Dr. King the lady is a great doc. I can only imagine her spouse is awesome as well.

I highly recommend Dr. Juanita Sprute at Jefferson Family Clinic, in the Medical Center. She was taking new patients earlier this year but not sure if she still is. The practice is so well run and she's really good. I had a huge emergency hospital stay at Methodist this summer and I haven't ever had a doctor be so on top of things on my behalf. Plus she still makes hospital visits which I hear is less and less common.

I don't know her personally but know several patients of hers that are all very happy.

She is very good. I might have been one her 1st patients 28 years ago and still see her. She really cares about you.

I like Macgregor Medical. Manny Rodriguez, Carlos Roldan, and Jose Sanchez are all great docs. Everything is in house so you don't have to go anywhere for things like labs and X-Ray. MRod has been my PCP for 15 plus years. Good docs at SAPDM as well. Miras and Kennedy are Ags. There's a new doc in Schertz D.C. Ward that seems to know his stuff. King is trying to shift to 100% diabetes at some point so even if you manage to get in with him it may be short lived

Yeah, he is already diabetes only and not seeing new patients. I saw NP Albright and she was great, but she is leaving. I'm still going to stay with them, they do the lab work there and I like the response and patient portal. Also very convenient location.

Just got notice that Dr.King is leaving his current position for a non clinic position. Really liked him. Any recommendations for a good internal medicine doc.

I'm keeping this. Will need it by end of year.

We just found out too. Tough finding a good family doctor. First stop was this thread to look around for a new one.

Sprute went to a concierge service last year. $1,800 annual. Wife kept her. I'm still looking for a good one.

I settled on NP Nichole Stauffer at MedFirst. She got moved out to Cibolo but not a big deal, I only go once a year mostly. I like her and think she has a good background for what I need.

Dr. Richard Palmer is a great guy.
