For those of you disappointed that the big 281 road project is over half way done, don't worry, an even bigger project is coming to loop 1604 north!!!

I'm so glad I just moved away from that area. What a nightmare that's going to be.

Live off 1604 and Braun. Was stoked for the last rework with the overpasses.... until I realized all it did was move traffic over a mile, and spawn a bunch of traffic rabbits and kept multiplying.

Video looks good, but my money says this is gonna be like real life kitchens versus cooking shows, or high school back seats versus porn.

It's way overdue.

Just going by the statistics, I bet there is somebody who moved to Bulverde 5 years ago who works at USAA and will never have a construction free day commute in the decade they live in San Antonio.

All the more reason to get out a ways. Currently on Bitters just inside 1604, and while traffic at that intersection is not bad, it's won't get better. Plus everything filling in open space between Blanco and I-10 is only going to make it so much more enjoyable.

You old guys remember when it was called the Death Loop? Still appropriate but it's construction that just cannot die.

Two lanes each way, no divider. Ah, those were the days.

You can move out to try to get away from it, but you better move WAY out if you wanna stay ahead of it. And I hope you don't have to commute to town.

Dang, 10 lanes! Reminds me of the I-10 expansion on the west side of Houston, that only took like 20 years.

And just when you thought we had seen the finish of construction on IH-410 and IH-35 for a while...

Mom lives in Shavano Park in a memory care facility along 1604. Going to be a nightmare.

I surveyed 1604 when it was a 2 lane loop all around San Antonio. Started at 26 years old. I am now 47.
