fiesta and seaworld are **** holes. Sorry. The thugs and suspect trash that frequent these places make it gross.

Nothing back yet..:but Fiesta Texas looks packed. 1604/I-10 are a parking lot trying to get into FT. Just tried to drive thru the area...

I would bet SW is the same, I would get there early.

Been there lately? They have huge rides and water coasters, tidal pool, etc. All full of trashy humans.

Can't be worse than Hershey Park. I'd rather have Texas "trash" than New Jersey trash

Simply incorrect.

I was there 2 years ago with my son on a crowded weekend. We got the pass to skip all the lines. There were trashy people everywhere. The wade pool was running low on water due to the displacement by a thousand morbidly obese people. We took showers immediately when we got home it was so dirty. Will never go again. GL and have fun.

Aside from the dolphin show, this wasn't a fun park day. Much of it is closed and due to Rona crowd limits we didn't make it into any shows. We thought there would be more aquariums. Our bad there.

Dolphin experience is great and you don't need to access the park to get in there. We had plenty of one on one time with the dolphin.

Family time has been great. Our daughter is getting to spend good time with my parents, which is the most important thing. We did find the aquarium in Leon Valley. It was sketchy when we got there but it was a great experience since we got to pet lemurs and a number of other animals. Can't beat the animal experience there.

Talon- we're doing the dolphin experience at SeaWorld this Friday. We originally planned it for her birthday in February, but the ice week wiped it out.

How was it? Our daughter is super excited. We're scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Was a crowded? Should we allow much extra time for crowds, traffic, etc? Any tips or suggestions? Thanks!

Get there early. We got there around 8 or 8:15 and waited n a car line until the park opened. I highly recommend you get there that early or you will be stuck in a massive line. I wish we got there closer to 8am. The instructions were not clear about parking or initial entry. A security guard may try to tell you to go to Gate 4, but that wasn't the case for us. I dropped my family off at the front gate (my dad has a hard time walking) and went to park. Once out of of car, head to security at the main entrance and wait there for the experience guide. Your experience ticket is your way in there. Your guide will escort you to the experience spot. Once there, the staff is really helpful and get you oriented and dressed as needed. They will provide the wet suit and the water shoes for you and your family. The locker rooms are typical for golf club locker room. There are showers, towels, soap and shampoo there for you. Lockers are quite nice as was the shower after the experience.

Bump… Coming to SA this weekend. 2 families, 6 kids between 2-8. SW on Sunday is the current plan. Will it be a madhouse? Any tips?

Staying on RW. Best place around RW for dinner Sat night that will have Ags on & be okay for all the kids?

What would be the other best activity for all the kids on another day? Caverns, doseum, ripleys???

Any day at SW is a chit show, park is always overloaded. I don't have tips since we don't go.
The RW is full of tourist traps and most places along it don't have the best, most authentic food that SA has to offer.

I would try Mad Dogs Pub on the RW for the game. My suggestion is to walk over and join the San Antonio A&M Club for the game and some BBQ. It's just off the RW.

Official Watch Party
TAMU vs. Alabama October 9th
Pinkerton's Barbeque
107 W Houston St, San Antonio, TX 78205

Other activities include the Dosuem, Zoo, Caverns, Missions… also, on Sunday you can try and catch a San Antonio FC match. They host Memphis 901at 7:30pm.

Some terrible advice above

I have been to Sea World hundreds of times and never been a chit show or whatever that is

Kids will love the Sea Lion show sit close to get wet
And cool off
Coasters are fun
The penguins are a great place to cool off
Kids area is great as well with a kid friendly water featurea

Get the map or app and plan your day around the shows and always avoid the main entrances
All the shows have multiple ways in

We have never had a crowd problem at Seaworld on a Sunday in the fall or spring the times we have gone. We don't go on spring break or the summertime. We always get there before opening and try to hit everything before the larger, later crowds hit. Good advice above to look at show times and get a game plan.

SW is never a problem in the fall of spring outside of spring break. Summer weekends will be packed like anywhere else. Best advice is to get there when they open and buy and print off tickets beforehand. We have season passes so this is never really an issue.

If you want to see sharks and dolphins, do it kind of early as they are separate from the rest of the park and closer earlier, typically at 5. There's some really neat underwater viewing over there.

Bay of Play is great for kids and has a nice splash area. Bring swim stuff if it's hot/summer.

Kids will really enjoy the sea lion show. It's pretty funny and the most entertaining one. Personally I like the beluga and Pacific white sided dolphins, but I'm a little biased there.

Coasters rarely have long lines. I've gone on great white sometimes where I just stay in because there's no one else in line. They're all pretty fun. I think the exception here might be some of the small children's rides in bay of play. Those might be a little longer.

Biggest drawback is that it's HOT. There never seems to be enough shade. Bring water bottles to fill up. Aldo make sure you sunscreen.

Also, food lines can be terrible right now. Usually they're not bad, but they've had a worker shortage like everyone else. You can save money and potentially time by packing lunches and leaving them in a cooler in your car. The food is kind of meh anyways unless you're there for the Seven Seas food festival. If you are, get a lanyard because it's always good stuff.

You can also get animal interaction programs, but they're not exactly cheap. Personally I think they're awesome and worth it though. We've done penguins, belugas, and dolphins. We technically did dolphins as Discovery Cove in Florida, but the dolphin interactions at SW SA are modeled directly after that. They're all pretty cool experiences. I have a picture on my desk of when my wife and I did the penguin interaction and got to go into the exhibit in parkas and waders. It was a really neat experience and a lot of fun.

Will be in San Antonio week of Christmas and it looks like Sea World is open. My kid is 6. Like an inch under 48 inches so we can only do the sea lion or penguin experience.

Will a 6 year old like them? During winter, Will it be a mad house?
