Was coming back from Lajitas few weeks ago on Monday around 5 and was amazed at all the new development between Castroville and SA. Also, traffic heading towards Castroville was backed up. Crazy.

Just went there for lunch today. Brisket is good to very good. Beans are good. Coleslaw sucks.

Bonus rating: Was in Bandera this Saturday and finally went to Busbee's. Fantastic brisket! Very good to great beans. Coleslaw was meh.

Used to live downtown and it was good each time I went.

Kings Highway was my go to downtown but sadly it closed.

Made it over to Reese Bros, brisket and ribs were good, sides too. Only complaint was $40 bill for a lunch. Gotta pay the piper i guess.

Ate at Reese Brothers earlier today. Best brisket I have found in SA. By far.

Sides were a little different but good.

Will definitely go back.

I mean if your looking for a BBQ place not looking to drop alot of dough then IMO BBQ Station is one of those places you can get dang good BBQ at reasonable prices.

El Monte BBQ on Bandera. Only tried their breakfast tacos. Brisket, chorizo and bean taco was excellent along w brisket and egg taco.

Went to Windmill BBQ on Nacogdoches last week. Surprised at how good it was. As good as any BBQ I have found in SA.

BUT then, as a whole SA BBQ is not real good IMO.

I went for lunch today. I thought it was pretty meh, especially for the cost. If your meat is meh, then your sauce better be good, and the sauce was meh too. Honestly, the most flavorful thing I had was the collard greens, and they were pretty salty. I would rank BBQ Station high above Windmill for flavor and price.

I see Windmill BBQ is now gone with the wind, and this place is now Biff Buzzbee's Burgers or something like that. Anyone been?

Garcia BBQ on Huebner near Floyd Curl is legit. They were food truck only for years. Brisket was really good as well as their brisket smash burgers.

Nick & Elliott are fantastic. It's definitely some of the best in TX.

Im building a new location for South BBQ as well. Should be open by this time next year.

Went a couple months ago. Burgers are decent, buns are homemade. I'll give them more business.

The house was originally owned by the Tyndalls (the old Tyndall and Sons Pontiac dealership from way back when.) It later became a day care for many years. The folks from Biff Buzby's preserved the original hardwood flooring in the house and it looks amazing.

Third this! Only downside is it's owned and operated by longhorns hahaha. For real though it is very good and very reasonably priced !

BBQ Station on 410 is good, but my favorite is still Bare Bull near Canyon Lake.

I'd rather drive to seguin and hit burnt bean than anything in SA. Delicious cake there too.

Man, my two experiences to Bill Miller were not good. Both times it was a business lunch. It has the same feel as Pancho's in the DFW area.

1. Pancho's is a good comparison.

2. Who in their right mind has a business lunch at
Bill Miller's?

This to me was not as good as advertised. I prefer The Big Bib BBQ or Smoke Shack.

Happy for the folks at BBQ Station who made the Michelin "Recommended" list yesterday. Always been a solid outing for me so I'm glad they're getting recognized. 2M also on the list.

Personally I'd rather drive to seguin for burnt bean or Austin for Terry Blacks on riverside.
