After all these years wonder why they are selling? Had some great experiences growing up even as an Explorer in "hi screwl". Do know the Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts/Rainbow Warriors or whatever they may be "these daze" are on their own.
They have to sell it. No female bathrooms.
They are probably selling to take advantage of the opportunity cost (someone gave them an offer they couldn't pass up) and using the money to develop another place somewhere else. This stuff happens more often than you think.

Pretty much this and all the damage River Camp suffered in the flood. SHAC has sold Strake also, developed Bovay and are building a new camp in the Conroe area.
Its pretty sad though, I had a blast there as a camper and staffer.
