Grew up in NB, NBHS c/o 2004.
I have decided I would like to move back to the area one day.
What are fellow Ags doing in the area professionally.
My dad was a territory account manager which brought us to NB in 1988. Parents are still there.
I am a CHEN.

Eagleford is always an option. I'm sure there are opportunities for you in that field. Easy commute to sa with some long jaunts south or east on occasion. We could be friends. I like twins (though my friends are in the tail end of their twos and we limit visits).

I moved here in 2004. Even since then, it seems that new subdivisions are going in everywhere. On one hand, I like the growth, and hell, I'm an "auslander" but there just seem to be so many people these days. The traffic around Creekside is ridiculous.

Yeah. My folks are out in south bank and the growth out 725 is amazing. I don't make it north of town much but I bet 306 is similar.

Gruene is full as well.

Is Valero an option?

How about HEB?

Good luck to you!

I would suggest looking at San Marcos for both living and working.

i'd rather stay in Houston than living in San Marcos, I'd rather stay in Houston than not live in NB which was the point of the thread.

You can live in NB and work in SM.

Oh yeah. For sure. Although I'd probably get fat wanting to eat enchiladas at Herbert's every day.

Ideas for places to research given my chen background?

Maybe look at Griffols? I'm not sure what you do or they do, but it might be similar.

Check out Continental Automotive in Seguin. I just began working there in their Procurement division. I live in NB and drive down, not a bad commute.

I can ask my old employer, they are a custom compounder and rubber/plastic company with a couple of locations between SA and NB (but mainly use existing formulations for stuff like downhole oil tools and might not need new compounds). Also Thermon in San Marcos, they get into heat tracing for chemical process and refining.

I appreciate everyone who has replied.

I do have a CHEN and have worked in various probject engineering and engineering leadership roles for my company, OEM oil and gas process equipment. I also recently spent a year leading our aftermarket parts sales and operations team as well as our global field service team. I am now in a georgraphy specific proposal management role within the sales organization and also moonlight as a project manager for our new venture into produced water management in their Permian.

Been with the same company nearly a decade and could stay with it through the long haul but I have a few interests I'd like to scratch and one of them is moving back to the NB area. If the right opportunity presents itself that would allow me to relocate that is what I am interested in unearthing.
