A few of us are heading down there next weekend for a quick get away.

Can someone who has been quite a bit or if you're a local can you direct me in the right direction?

It's couples going so the women would like to do a wine tour.
We found one for about $100 a person with transportation included.

Is that worth it or if we are staying downtown can we just walk around to shops etc and do tastings. (i'm a beer guy, but I'll dabble in the grape stuff I guess)

Basically, what the hell should we do and what is the best bang for the buck?
Also, any can't miss restaurants???

If they'd be content sitting their butts down on Main Street for a while they don't need a wine tour. But if they want to check out wine from multiple wineries, yes, they need to line up some transportation 'cause the ones I enjoy going to are not walking distance.
