I never have tried it, but Alamo Springs Cafe always makes the list of best burgers around Texas.

Not right in Fredericksburg but supposedly well worth the short drive.

We went to The Pink Pig, about four miles out of town on Hwy. 290 East. The food was excellent, especially the pulled pork sandwich. That's my new recommendation.
