Looking if anyone knows/recommends anyone to install in Corpus Christi?

We are in stage 3 water restrictions, and I don't want to stare at dead grass all summer

Thanks

Not in Corpus, but I'm installing it now in backyard tomorrow. Definitely get samples. For the Real Turf brand I'm using the "Absolute" turf model, which seems the most like real grass.

Thanks for the advice. Would you post some pics if you don't mind?

Sure, I'll post pics afterwards. They just installed a French drain underneath so rain won't pool up...the turf does have holes. My plan was to stop using the lawn guy & use a robot mower in front yard (the savings pays for the robot).

We have about 1250 sq ft of turf in our backyard. If you have medium to large dogs, prepare to buy some turf cleaner spray to keep the urine smell down. Especially in summer time. I rotate between 2-3 brands. I also keep a pump sprayer to spray after the dogs pee. We have two Great Danes.

Also, keep in mind the turf gets very hot on bare feet in the summer but a quick spray of water will cool it quickly.

We love ours.

I have always been skeptical of turf but I worked with several customers that have it professionally installed in their yard and it is absolutely amazing stuff. Even in rain it's awesome. I legitimately cannot see a downside to it other than cost and maintenance. The few I've seen have looked good, felt good, easy to clean up, doesn't get muddy. Man, it's the cats meow.

We had it in our first house and then made it a top priority to get it installed when we moved. Between the large dog, ice/snow, and periods where it rains for days it's awesome.

I see you have golf in your username and if you've got the room for adding a putting green you should at least have one quote with it. We did a small putting area off to the side and it's great for just messing around or chipping wiffle balls from one side of the yard.

*It gets insanely hot in Texas summers, unusable hot in direct sunlight if not evap. cooled with water first.
*Sun reflections off windows can melt swaths through the turf (You may need coating on the windows)
*More plastic on the earth is not a good thing.
*Areas of heavy dog/foot traffic will wear down & need to be re-sanded/powerbroomed more frequently to keep looking 100%.

There are places where turf makes sense, but it makes me cringe when I see lots of it going in... because I know in 10 years it'll likely be in a landfill.

I say this as someone who installs the stuff.
