Anything need to be done to shield or protect a tankless water heater from freezing temps? (This unit opens on an outside south wall.) TIA

Check if you have a condensate drain and how it routes. Mine goes to exterior and I've had it freeze and create a back up in past. I have a small piece of pex to temporarily reroute if I expect a hard freeze.

They have heater pads built in but the incoming line will freeze. I wrapped mine with Christmas lights and it worked last year to thaw em.
