How long do you want to ignore this user?
Just got our renewals for Safeco and my current agent isn't able to move it much. Does anyone have a recommendation for an agent in Texas so I can see if their carriers are able to make a better offer?

Or has anyone shopped their own with Geico, Progressive, etc?

I know premiums are going to increase no matter who I go with but would like to make sure I'm doing my due diligence with all options.

Liere, who is/was a sponsor of TexAgs, is a BCS insurance broker. I used them for several years until I couldn't handle the Safeco rate hikes and just recently switched back to State Farm.

What is it with Safeco? My rate literally increased 140% this year. Obviously I'm shopping around.

Went from SageSure which I was paying $4630/yr and then they renewed me to $6411. I called a broker who quoted me at $4700 for slightly different coverage. Called AllState and went with them with better coverage for $4500/yr.

Thanks for the recs. I went with Liere and they were able to save me (Travelers) about 1400 in Home and 800 in Auto from my Safeco renewal.

Yep, I was with Safeco for almost 10 years. Their auto and home skyrocketed earlier this year. I'm with Liere and asked them to shop around for me. I ended up saving a ton by switching to Mercury.

Mercury took forever and a day to approve my hail claim in 2022. The entire neighborhood was bombed out with hail but mercury slow played many of us, while other companies approved near instantly

I had been shopping on my own those mentioned and others since the rates were trying to exceed SS payments and .... BTW even payments past on house, cars, everything! Are they all trying to retire early on our dime and also buy a private island?

Went to independant long time agent that is to retire this month and Presto Chango cut a fat deal, even with some with which I had a strike out!
BUT
went back with a correction on house SF, so he passed it on to his heir (that must be swamped with all this x-tra biz) and she got the same SOP I did = sorry Charlie.

Advise ergo is ....
Plead your independant agent to shop hard with exact details on mileage, SF, etc. and say No Frills hoping umbrella coverage will pay for exotics ... if ever used! ... then best of luck.

Not an option?
Take an insider happy w/insurance fam/friend out to a night on the town and get THEIR buddy agent to also be yours.
