Live in the Leader area. We're on a well, been here for years, and it's finally time to do something about the taste of the drinking water. I don't know if we need a whole house filter, just an inline filter, or both. We do have a water softener. Any recommendations?

If it's just a taste thing, how about an undersink RO system for your drinking water? We put one of these under our sink and it supplies the fridge, a spigot at the sink, and the icemaker - Link

We also have a whole-home filter, but we have very hard water in our area and it was more for our mineral deposits. The RO went in first and it was money way better spent for taste. I eventually put a second 3 gallon tank on the RO system to keep up with our family (5 kids).

I have an under sink RO system. That works well. Ice out of the icemaker sucks as does cold water out of the fridge. I haven't routed the fridge line through the RO system. Maybe I need to do that.

We went with the Ispring CU-A4 off Amazon since our fridge/ice maker isn't near a drain line. Keep that in mind if you go RO.

I didn't want to cut a hole in our new quartz countertop.
