Curious on the general consensus, I will instal the soffit and hardi this week and I was curious if I should use the ventilated hardi soffit or just regular soffit. I currently don't have a vent however I did not think a soffit vent on the high side would adequately ventilate.

What's the correct way to properly vent a lean to shed?

Perforated soffit and drop an air hawk on top or a 4 seasons solar airhawk. They move air and no power.

I did just shingle the roof, how much of a pain is it to install one of these now?

Not hard. You can put it in after the fact. If you have a couple extra shingles that makes it even less risk. If you've already shingled, what about adding a gable vent type of thing? You can power those and leave the roof alone?

How big of a shed are we talking about? In all reality, you might not gain much of anything over just cracking a window.

Roughly 7' x 10'. It's going to be used for water equipment prior to the water entering our house.

I have considered just adding vents on a low wall and a high wall I just worry that would not do enough.

I went solar fan on the high side roof and filtered intake on the opposite low side of the wall with my 8x12

Vents can be adequate, just need to make sure you are providing enough. Which in your case would likely be along the entire length of that 10' long side in every stud bay.

Worst case, you can add wall vents and if they aren't cutting it, you can seal off the uppers and add a roof vent down the road.

Since it has water equipment, I personally would not worry much about venting it. Just a vent or two will be fine. That is a small area and I would be more focused on how it performs in the winter than in the summer. It's going to be hot in the summer no matter what. And if you can catch a little extra heat in the winter that's always nice.

This is where my head was at the whole time, my father insisted if I don't put ventilation in the build then I'll be riddled with mold and mildew. I am enclosing everything to protect it from the winter elements amongst other factors.

Lighting isn't the best, but you get what I'm getting at here haha

I honestly Think that if you put soffit vents on the lower and upper soffit, you'd have plenty of ventilation. The moisture concern is relevant since it water equipment. My wells sweat in the summer, but I don't think you'll have any mold issues. I would not go poking a hole in that roof. The design lends itself to venting from underneath, in my opinion.

Curious to hear other input as well.

Unrelated - looks like it slopes down towards the door. I thought there was a poster on here that had a small shed with a door open into a slope like that and had some issues during a heavy rain. They had to install some kind of landing to help with erosion and flow control.

Referring to the ground? You are correct and I'm working on some mitigation ideas there.
