The system will blow cold and then will lose a little bit of temperature in the air. Having a hard time keeping steady at 72-73. Coolant has been checked and is full.


Edit to add, it appears something begins to glow/heat up in the bottom of the unit. 2014 Trane 5 ton.

So….someone checked the refrigerant level but didn't notice the fan isn't spinning? Either condenser fan motor is out, bad capacitor on fan motor or wiring.

Can likely DIY a fan motor if you're handy. Only thing I won't touch (have no idea what I'm doing) is refrigerant topping.

I agree, replacing a/c fan motors is really simple especially if it's original equipment. Try avoiding the after market fan motors as they don't last and more difficult with all the additional wires.
