I have a Troy-Bilt power washer that is at least 15 years old. It probably only has about 25 hours of use. I got it out this weekend to use it to clean a drain line blockage with a clog-hog hose attachment. It fired up just fine, but in less than 5 minutes, the engine was still running, but no water would come out. Just before the water flow stopped, I had the trigger off. I pushed the safety button off and squeezed the trigger, the water started and then stopped abruptly. At that time, I felt a bump in the handle, then flow stopped.

I think it may be a problem with the trigger/handle, as when I tried to disassemble it, the inlet and outlet hoses were both still under high pressure. That, to me, indicates the pump is working, but the trigger has failed.

Does anyone have any advice or experience to share on this issue? Help is appreciated. At this point, If it takes a lot to repair it, like replacing/repairing the pump, the cost isn't worth it.

If you can isolate it to the handle/trigger, You can by replacements at lowes.
