Anyone have a garage door with multiple options for open/ close?

I am looking to add both a wifi/ internet based device and a wired key pad outside the garage door for kids to use.

I don't want to give up my RF devices currently in use nor my wired opener inside the garage.

We have old-fashioned clickers and a keypad on the wall outside the garage and then I also added a myQ Wi-Fi controller that uses an app

Most openers can pair to a several devices. We've got a couple of Liftmaster openers that each have two remotes, two integrated vehicles, a wired wall button, a keypad, and the myQ wi-fi controllers.

MyQ has had some trouble with the way they are closing their ecosystem. That means they are continually blocking access to third parties so that you won't be able to integrate it with your other smart home devices and services. There is an open source alternative called RATGDO that has decent reviews but you'll need to run it through HomeKit or ESPHome/MQTT. Most doors are just using dry contacts and a momentary switch to control open/close, so this is fairly straightforward.

If you're not comfortable with that, the MyQ approach may be the best bet in the short term.

We have a button on the garage wall, keypad outside the garage, my q app, and home link buttons in the vehicles, and physical sun-visor buttons that came with the opener.

Get auto close. It is my favorite feature with 10 year old plus kids and a wife that thinks shutting the garage is optional.

What is auto close? You can set MyQ to close after it's been open certain amount of time. You can also set it to always close at a certain time of day.
