Help with pool robot vacuum

My 1.5 year old Dolphin Premier pool vacuum recently has gone dead. The power button on the controller lights up, but none of the other lights on the controller that normally come on when you press the power button. However when you disconnect the cord that runs from the controller to the robot, the lights light up as normal. Any ideas? Trying to avoid the down time of shipping back to the mfgr in Georgia.

Take it it apart and clean the impeller (youtube). If that doesn't do the trick, it could be the control board or chord. Is it still under warranty?

Still under warranty but just trying to avoid the downtime of sending it back to the manufacturer. I checked out the impeller and impeller looks ok and seems to spin freely.

When I sent mine in for warranty work I got it back in a week. I couldn't believe it.

I had the same exact issue and the problem was with the controller. I contacted support and they sent a new one and everything has been working fine since.

From what I read online, when the robot would move it would trip or short out the controller. That's why it lights up when the robot isn't plugged in.

Did you purchase from Marina Pool and Spa? If so, they can help you trouble shoot, and can also order replacement parts (under warranty) for you to DIY the repair. They diagnosed my s200 over the phone and then sent me the replacement part to fix myself. These robots are surprisingly simple, with the primary issues being the controller, power cord, or the motor unit, each of which can be sent for simple replacement.

As mentioned I would also check the impeller as that can sometimes get bound with hair and string. There are youtube videos for most of these dolphin robots to help with taking them apart.

No, I described the issue and they had me try a couple things that didn't work. They sent me a brand new controller for free.
