Home warranty is replacing our dishwasher. House came with a Bosch that we've really liked, but wondering what else is out there these days.

Any other brands we should look at, or new features we should look for?

We have $760 in reimbursement coming. Would add to it if we thought it was worth it

When going thru a kitchen renovation thanks to a failed dishwasher we narrowed our new selection down to Bosch and Miele. Ended up with a Bosch due to cost and have been happy with it but Miele is worth consideration.

We have a Thermador, which is owned by Bosch.

I think the biggest factor I realized matters in a dishwasher is how quiet it is.

Dueling Bosch here.
Only other brand I'd consider is Kitchenaid Pro

I'd argue the biggest factor is does it dry dishes....

Which the models below the Bosch 800 do not....so stick with it.

I've had Bosch and Miele. Both are solid. The Bosch gives me occasional errors that if I wasn't handy, would have to call someone out. Usually crud gets stuck in the drain.

Since 1980 ONLY KitchenAid has been good to us and never, ever a Bosch again, regardless what Consumer Report Yankees say about all that, tesed wtih nice, clean NYC waters and they DON'T test cleaning, mostly only how Quiet it is ?!?!?!?

K-A superiority that Bosch/others can't claim
Interior rack design
Rack doesn't rust out, not even when used again in a new DW
Lasts just as long as a Bosch
Filter same as Bosch/others, EZ to clean, replace new
(Avoid the grinders that replace filters, these are toys that break EZ)
Best to purchase in the mid-high dollar range
We are superstitious in avoiding "sales" = something's wrong with that production run, so complaints made us sell cheap to a big box store to avoid hassles
Ten words or less ... a goal unattainable
