The extra thick was kind of a pain in the ass. Real difficult to find sheets that fit well. Deep sheets were what you had to look for, but deep is not a standard size. It was also incredibly heavy. It lasted well for about 7 years and then struggled for 2 before we moved onto the expensive name brand.

I don't see the need for custom mattresses again in my life. Plenty of options off the shelf for me.
