Does anyone have a recommendation for a full shade groundcover that is aggressive?

The most aggressive are Asian jasmine, purple wintercreeper aka wandering Jew, and liriope. Mondo grass both regular and dwarf are good but must be planted close together and are not that aggressive. However it looks good when it develops. Hope this helps.

Horse herb. Commonly a weed in many people's yards but it's a good ground cover that you can mow of you want.
its pretty low maintenance, but that stuff dries up in the summer when we don't get any precipitation, also "disappears" in winter, so for that short period of time in Texas, the ground will look bare. its about the only thing that will grown in a heavily shaded area of our back yard, so its better than nothing.Caliber said:

All, thanks for the replies. I am central/SE Texas (I think zone 8). This is for a shaded backyard and will be irrigated. As far as height, I would like it to be short (8-12" max, preferably).
