You have built in smoke detectors, or just regular free standing ones?
Same for me, I am never buying first alert again.

Not built in. Just the kind you can mount on the ceiling. I have the ones that are suppose to last 10 years with the lithium batteryMilwaukees Best Light said:

I got nothing for you, sorry. The trick is to find the ones made in the factory using ten year olds. The eight year olds just can't seem to keep the quality control.
