Roots in sink drain

What is the best option to got rid of these? Drain line is in the slab or under it, roots are about 4ft from the sink, and about 4-6 ft from the outside wall.

Are there options other than digging under the slab?

You could run a root cutter every few months or when it backs up. Eventually, will need to replace or reroute the line. I have heard of putting salt in the drain to kill the roots.
