We have a refrigerator that we keep in our utility room and I would like to run water to it for the icemaker. The only water source in that room is for the washing machine. Does anybody know if there is a part that is made to split off of the line that goes to a washing machine that could divert water for this purpose? or I guess it is unlikely there is something made specifically for this, but does anybody have any ideas? I can post pics of what I am dealing with if that helps.

I'm sure there are a lot of options. Washing machine valve is likely 3/4" FHT? Fridge needs a 1/4" compression fitting?

Could split the valve (Example) and then convert one to compression (Example), and then run a supply line to the fridge (Example).

You need a 3/4 tee, a 3/4 nipple and a reducer from 3/4 to 1/2, then a 1/2 nipple and a quarter turn valve with a 1/4 inch compression for the fridge line

They used to make a faucet that would screw on an outside faucet that had a 1/8" pipe thread side outlet. It was designed to screw onto a water hose thread. Used to see them on houses that had a swamp fan

Y split to 1/4 compression. Used this exact setup before to split washing machine cold water line for my old fridge.

Thanks y'all! I'll try to set this up this weekend. Should have done it a long time ago! This fridge has been in here for 3 years without a water connection. Hope the ice maker still works.

You need a 3/4" wye with a valve on each - can find these at the hardware store in brass.

Then if your ice maker has a 1/4" RO input you need one of these to convert to a 1/4" RO line most likely (check your ice maker):

Is RO reverse osmosis? I don't think it has anything fancy beyond a cartridge filter but I don't know.

RO stands for reverse osmosis but a lot of fridges, etc use 1/4" RO plumbing lines to connect. Just look at your ice maker and see what connector it has for water hookup.

There are a multitude of ways to do this but at one point had a male to female hose thread device that had a 1/4 or maybe 3/8 female on the side for a compression fitting. Think it was to hook a dryer that had steam option to the normal washer hose that typically would be next to it.
