Just want to run my plan by y'all to make sure I've got my head on straight.

Just closed on a house and am planning to redo the master vanity before move-in. Current Vanity is 72" with double sinks. There is a linen closet to the left of the vanity that I plan to remove so we can install a larger vanity (105"). We just purchased the cabinets yesterday and I didn't think about it until afterwards, but the left side sink will be sliding over approximately 30" from where it is now, which means I will need to redo the drain line.

Unfortunately the cabinets we chose have drawers where the drain line currently sits, so I am imagining that I will have to re-route through the wall, which is an exterior wall (and presumably 2x4 framing - I haven't opened it up yet).

From doing research on code, it seems like I can't drill through consecutive load bearing studs. It seems that there is an exception if one uses a stud shoe. I'm anticipating having to go through 1-2 studs depending on where they are located. Can anyone here see issues with just drilling the studs and then adding stud shoes to them around the pipe? Thanks!

Here's a photo of what I'm looking at doing and where the drawers and new sink would sit. Sorry for the poorly done drawing!

My friend did this on a house with aged studs. He was in a difficult position and the drill bit caught -torqued the drill! Radial break to forearm. He said he now knows why his drill came with the small handle that screws into the side of the drill.

Your over thinking this
Cut the pvc drill thru 2 studs and come out or once you pull cabinets cut sheetrock Cut pvc Install a 90 and a slup 90 and run pipe inside cabinets if you dont care

So many easy fixes to this if in college station I can show you

Now moving the water lines I can do copper but not pex

FWIW

That appears to be vented improperly. If I'm not mistaken, the vent can't 90 horizontal until it is 6" above the flood rim of the fixture.
