So when the washer drains, water spills out from the wall where the drain pipe is. We got a plumber out yesterday, they cleaned it out and says it good to go. This morning we run a load and there's even more water coming out. We call the plumber back out, they run a hose to the drain and run the hose full blast for a couple minutes and there's back up.
We put the washer drain hose back in, drain the washer and it's start gushing out at the wall and at the bottom of the washer in the same corner as where the drain hose connects to washer. Appliance guy is saying it's a drain issue, plumber is saying it's an appliance issue…
Any idea what's happening?

Maybe the drain hose is leaking?

Is this a new washer ?

How old is the house ?

Take the washing machine outside and hook up a hose from the outside faucet to the cold side and rig the drain hose where it is pointed away from the machine. Run a rinse only load.

When it drains see if there is water at the bottom of the washing machine.

Ended up getting this out with a clothes hangar and some major ingenuity. So much for the plumbing company cleaning it out…
And yes that metal rod was in the drain. We think it's from the renters who were in the house before we bought it. They also left a complete computer charger that was flushed/pushed deep inside a toilet as well as 12 screws in our garbage disposal that we found after turning it on and ruining it. Fun times

Yea, pretty frustrated with them. $238 already paid but I've got a call with the service manager tomorrow so hopefully they do what's right.
