The floors would have been redone after Harvey so what, 6 years ago? This is an idea of where it is in our home, my back is essentially at the front door. It couldn't be further from the edge of the slab or from a water source so I'm confident the slab has moisture from the ground because we have been absolutely saturated. As a matter of fact I need to do some concrete repair or put a drain at the base of a retaining wall to try and stop some of the moisture that bleeds on to our paved areas.

Hey! It seems moisture might be the issue, especially if you're seeing wet spots in the garage. Without a proper moisture barrier, you may need to pull up some flooring to fix it.

Heavy furniture can also cause floating floors to buckle since it stops the floor from expanding. Moving the furniture might help, but you may still need to remove part of the floor and possibly the baseboards. Best of luck!

My floors look awfully similar to these pics, OP.

No moisture barrier and over the last several months, the bowing has gotten intense with no signs of settling back in..

A freaking balancing beam in our hallway...

After Hurricane Harvey, assess your flooring for damage, even if it's far from water sources. Floors redone six years ago may still be at risk due to factors like humidity and poor ventilation. Look for signs of warping, buckling, or discoloration. A moisture meter can help detect hidden moisture in the slab or underlayment. If concerns persist, consulting a professional for an inspection is advisable. Taking proactive measures can prevent extensive repairs in the future.

I have seen a few websites that have great flooring:
