Got our latest Gexa bill on our detached garage/shop building. We used 195 kWh ($36.78) and TDU delivery charge is suddenly $126.70!

We've had that meter & range of kWh usage for over 10 years - nothing has changed.

I called & was told that in January it was "flagged" as a "high usage account". I am waiting for a call back - but has this happened to anyone else?

edit: Our total bill is $163.54 - per the bill, that's 83.7 cents per kWh

figure anything out about this?

I'd run a line from the house to the shop and tell them to come pick up their meter. How far away is it?

Do you have three phase power to your shop, or anything else that would lead them to believe it's commercial service?
