Any one have advice on how to configure a ceiling fan for a 20ft ceiling? Current have a chandler that hangs at about 7 ft down . The online recommendations are for a 120 inch downrod but no one sells one over 72 inch's.

Go to plumbing company and get 3/4 threaded pipe
Then cut and drill hole in the end and get spray paint and paint a color of choice

They sell extension rods for ceiling fans. You can fab one at a custom height too. Fab, like drill holes through the non threaded end.

We ended up using a 6' and maybe a 2' together.

I don't know if it helps at all but we have 15 ft ceilings and old fan had a 6 ft down rod. Bought a large minka aire fan and used the stock 18inch down rod and it's plenty long enough. Fan moves a mountain of air and opened up the room. I bet you could get by easily with a 6 foot.
