Heating element went out on the dryer a few weeks ago so I replaced it. Since then about half the time it works flawlessly, rest of the time it's overheating (Samsung dryer, stops with error code HE). I've noticed it will get down to like 1 minute and hang there and continue to dry; I'm wondering if maybe the moisture sensor now needs to be replaced. Air flow is good as I stepped outside the house where the vent exits and you can feel the air exiting.

I called a guy and he said nobody works on Samsungs anymore.

After dealing with a dryer issue last year and going through 2 different repair guys. They do not work on them because they just simply don't know what they are doing. I spent a couple hundred on getting guys to look at the issue and even when trying to explain to them that they were doing everything I did, they still did the same thing and came to no conclusion.

On a different note. I changed the element in mine and got the full kit to change all of the sensors that are there are the same time. This video goes through all the testing, but I did not do that and just changed them out. While I was in there. The cost for the kit was minimal compared to just buying the element on Amazon.

Have you checked the vent? Make sure it is clear.

Lately I seem to be having one or two a week on newer construction where the vent termination, usually on the roof, has a screen improperly installed and is full of lint. No screens on dryer vents!

That will cause that overheating.

replaced my samsung heating element 3x in 12 years. We just use timed dry all the time, not any of the fancy stuff. Will never buy a samsung again.
