I want to add landscape lighting to my front yard. I want up lighting on the house and also maybe path lights for the front walkway.

I replaced the entire system at my previous house so I am comfortable with the install, but wanted to get suggestions on positioning the floodlights on the house.

Also, any suggestions for pathway lighting? I may not add this because I don't like the idea of a series of lights sticking up out of the ground along one side. I'm thinking something more low profile but not sure if that exists and how it would work with edging.

Narrow spots on the columns will fit what you are looking for. An alternative is to flood the walls behind the columns to give a cool look with depth instead of lights on the columns themselves.

Walkway lights serve a great purpose, but generally get destroyed from yard crews, kids playings, etc. because there's nothing to protect them. I'm a bigger fan of using pathway lights around (just inside) the front parameter of the landscape beds to accent the planting anp lights on tree trunks / ornamental trees in the landscaping.

This picture I found is what I was trying to communicate. The landscape really pops with the lighting, while the columns are washed out.

Check out Costco from small nice all-in-one kits with Volt fixtures. I put in one of those systems in my last house and fixtures were very nice quality for the price.

Consider doing some down lighting in those trees. The ones fwrhh the er from the house. Big uplights on the ones close.
