I'm trying to hang this chandelier on a sloped ceiling: https://www.potterybarn.com/products/buford-linear-wood-chandelier-mp/

We now know that we can do that pretty easily if we were to hang it perpendicular to the slope, But unfortunately we need to hang it lengthwise with the slope. It does not have chains, so I'm trying to figure if there's a way to do it. Was thinking about building a box with a level bottom so that it can be mounted flat. Is that possible? Anyone ever done anything like that? Dumb idea?

Shorten the length of the wires on the upslope side?

I got a couple of adapters to try and make the lengths even but couldn't get it to work. With a chain I could, but I have limited options with these rods.

Why can't you hang the long side of the mounting base perpendicular to the slope? Room shape/size?

I don't think the option in the OP is going to look good if you get it to work. The last option presented is the way to go with a sloped ceiling, will look better, require less prep, and be a more solid install when complete.

Hanging from a single point would be ideal, but I got this one for $100 so trying to make it work. Can post a pic in a bit but yes, it needs to run that way because that's the way the room is shaped and the table goes.

Is that fixture one piece?

How good are you with a pipe bender?
