I live in KC and still have my pool open. We are getting temps in negatives digits Sat night and Sunday nights.

Pool company assures me I'm fine as long as pumps are running, but I'm concerned.

What's lowest temps your pool or someone you know has survived?

I know we had a bunch fail last freezemageddon in DFW. Hard to keep the pump running when the power goes out and it's -8.

Not a lot you can do about it though, eh? Hope for the best.

Continue to run your pumps and water falls if you have them; I do that every year and nothing happens.

I imagine its fine, as long as you don't lose power. What killed so many pools in Texas wasn't the temperature, it was the fact that folks lost power. We drained our pump and filter prior to the weather and our pool was fine - only damage we had was where I accidentally chipped a tile while breaking the ice up

Just found out that my Polaris motor is clicking off and on and after watching the Polaris for a minute or two that isn't moving, so I called my pool guy and told him to get here when he has a chance AFTER we start to warm up. At least I have water movement though.
