We are adding string lights to our outdoor space and my wife picked up some at Costco. The length won't cover the area we need unless we want to string a bunch together.

Does anyone know of a place to pickup a commercial roll I can cut to length for a cleaner install? Would like something that should outlast the elements for years and not some thin wire Christmas light material.

Here are more length selections than you can get at the big-box stores...

Doesn't look they they sell the wire and sockets by the foot or spools that you cut yourself like they do with C9 or C7 bulbs (they have that).

Might try a Site One if you are looking for something local.

True Value Hardware sells string by the foot but I don't recall if they have a commercial option.

The LED ones we got at Costco have held up well. Strung 2x25' strands and they do great.

I bought a light stringing wire kit on Amazon to keep them taught. It's basically black airline wire with clamp hooks and a turnbuckle and eyebolt to tighten it.

Honestly the Harbor Freight ones are pretty good quality. The wire is similar to an outdoor 18 gauge extension cord. You may be able to chop off excess as long as you can figure out how to seal the end.

ChristmasDesigners dot com sells it. They're out of Sherman, TX. Noticed it when perusing and filed it away for later down the road. I buy all my Christmas lights from them and have been happy with their service and quality.

I will likely order from 1000bulbs.com for this as they have 14 gauge wire for their patio lights while ChristmasDesigners has 16 gauge.

Thank yall for all of the input
