Everyday Aeration and Seeding claims they will core aeration, seed and fertilizer application to bring back your dying brown grass and will eventually lessen how much water to lay down. You will need to water some due to fertilizer but this is in the long term.

Anyone have experience with this service / company?

Just rent a core aerator from Home Depot and fertilize yourself (not in these temps). $60 for 4 hours.

I do not know the proper seed or fertilizer.

Why not do it in this heat / dry weather?

If you water it every evening..should be good?

If you have St Augustine, right now is a no-no for fertilizer. Can contribute to grey leaf spot and brown patch. Bermuda is fine to fertilize.

I wouldn't aerate anything in these temps as it stresses the grass for a week or two. Aerating is best around May.

Yeah, I wouldn't aerate now. You're literally stabbing the grass and then increasing the surface area of the soil available to evaporate air. I was late one year and did it in June and that was hard on my lawn.
