Is it possible to frost or smoke an existing shower that has clear glass? Recommendations in Houston?
If you do this, be aware that the glass in a shower is usually tempered. If the blasting breaks the surface tension it will shatter into a galzillion pieces. I used to do glass etching and glass carving and have seen it happen. When doing tempered glass use a minimum amount of air pressure and just lightly frost it and you may get away with it. Going with the film will be safer.ABATTBQ11 said:
Look on Amazon for a film to put on it. Otherwise, you could get a cheap media blaster from HF, pull the door off, and hit with that.
Just make sure to clean it REALLY WELL before you spray or use the cling film. The prep makes the world of difference. Dish Soap and hot water, then wipe down with alcohol.JohnnyShotgun said:
I've used frosted glass spray paint before on a shower door and it turned out really nice. My wife used painters tape to create a design she liked and I painted. That was nearly 14 years ago and it's still there. A can is now $7 at Home Depot. Just a suggestion.
