What are people doing for windows these days? We're considering Hunter Douglas Pirouette. Anyone have those or something similar? Pros/cons?

Thanks. We're getting a quote for them thru Ethan Allen. I'm afraid it's going to be a budget-buster. I found a similar style on Blinds.com and they see to have good reviews.

less happy that i didn't consider the cost of new blinds into window replacement

We got Pirouettes upstairs and Blinds.com downstairs. The Pirouettes are awesome and orders of magnitude better quality. They also cost orders of magnitude more so you get what you pay for. Nothing but positive things to say about Hunter Douglas, the only issue is cost. If I had to go it again I'd just bite the bullet and do the whole house, but I'm going to wait for the Blinds.com to wear out before I eat that expense.

Considering the number of things that have been budget-busters during our home construction, I'm thinking we're going to start basic with Blinds.com and switch to Hunter Douglas in years to come.

Maybe it's cheap by comparison but our entire home 2.5" wood blinds was $4200.

We have that now and just want a change for the new house.
