Howdy,
I've had to do quite a bit of work on my home and want to get a brad nailer for my trim work. I have a pancake air compressor but I'm leaning towards a battery powered nailer. It will get light use so I don't need something that I'd expected to be used more than a few times a year. Can y'all give me some cost effective options? Thanks!

Harbor freight. Sign up for the mailer. Clip coupon and get one for $29.

Works like a charm.

I've got staplers, bradders, pinners, narrow crown, wide crown staplers….

Various brands from craftsman, to Pittsburgh, to Bostitch and and some others. My Bostitch is really nice.

For trim, I really like headless pinners.

corded or battery? If you already have tools that use a battery (dewalt, ryobi, ....) then you could just get one from that brand.

I have gotten many a mile out of Hitachi(now Metabo), but they're all pneumatic.
I don't think you know me.

I've got plenty of dewalt tools so I will probably look there first. But I'm open to something different if need be.

That. I have a Bostich roofing nailer. Got sideways with it on a patio cover roof and somehow the cap of the roofing nail sheared off and got wedged in and trapped the striker. Had a time constraint and bought a HF one as a backup. Worked just as well as the Bostich wrapping up that roof and several other sheds. I also got one of their framing nailers that seemed to be as good as a Campbell Hausfeld.

If you don't expect having a lot more work to do with it down the line, just go to Harbor Freight. If you want a real name brand, go look at pawn shops. There's no use spending brand new name brand money on something you wont' use very often.

I think I'll go the harbor freight option here. Thanks everyone!

this right here!

I bought a pneumatic ridgid for 99 bucks from home depot that works great....just a PITA to get move the compressor and cord around, upstairs, downstairs around the house around the garage....get a battery one that uses whatever battery system you already have to make your life easier!

FYI...don't ever buy tools from Harbor Freight...no matter how "inexpensive" it is LOL.
