Dripping from AC vent

I assume this is condensation, but is it something I can fix myself? It is only happening on one vent as far as I can tell. It is on the ceiling (by far the most difficult vent to reach in my house!)

warm, moist air hitting cold vent = condensation

You have a break in your insulation. Likely around where the duct connects to the vent box.

Start there then work backwards.

pull the grill off if you can reach it and make sure it's insulated/sealed around the box and sheetrock.

Dang. I wonder which is cheaper, buying a much taller ladder so I can safely reach it or just calling an AC guy?

You can rent ladders, btw.

Anyone with tall ceilings or a 2 story home should own a little giant ladder. It gets as high as I'll ever want to go. If it's higher, I'll hire somebody.
