Pics - Termites?

Two different locations, feedback?

First 2 pics looks more like a black ant, except wings look termite-ish. Didn't get one without wings to see full body. Found in mid-March in South TX (pleasanton).

Last 3 pics (Kerrville this weekend) - lighter color and wings seems these are termites.

Little late for these to be swarming but I guess it's possible. Anyway, they appear to be termites but that doesn't mean anything other than that colony nearby is swarming to make new colonies.

those are formosan. somewhere near you there is a dead tree (not a house they are eating)

to get rid of them ... wait for late spring showers to go away

OR

turn off your lights after about 8:15pm until about 10pm. this sounds dumb, but it is what people do to get them to stop slipping through your drafty windows and doors.
