I'm thinking about going with a large garage cabinet system instead of building my own 2x4 shelves. Any systems you guys recommend and any pictures? Looking for ideas. Thx in advance!

Not sure what your budget is, but I like Saber Cabinets (link). I had them in my old house and just added some in my new house. Here's a pict from the old house right before we sold it:

those cabinets look pretty sweet. Never heard of Saber Cabinets, but I'll take a look at their website!

I don't know if they come up often but you might be able to find cabinets for cheap that someone pulled out of their kitchen for a remodel. I have about 40 feet of cabinet in my garage that I took out of our kitchen for a remodel.

If I hadn't been using them myself I would have given them away just because I usually hate dealing with selling stuff online.

That workbench area looks really nice. And +1 on the white pegboard.

Mine looks similar to this, but a little more Frankenstein'd.

I shopped around at Lowe's / HD and looked for dinged up cabinets/vanitys, whatever. Sometimes the have them in the discounted / damaged area. Slap a piece of 3/4 in plywood and they make great work bench's. If you're patient, you can accumulate several nice pieces for a fraction of the cost.

I used garagecabinets.com and am very happy. I spoke to the rep directly and made some modifications. I wanted upper cabinets that were deeper than what they had listed and they build everything to my preference. They were great with communication. Ultimately it all gets shipped to you in a crate and you assemble the cabinets and install to a French cleat.

We are about to do a kitchen remodel. Depending on where you are you could take our old cabinets if that is the route you decide to take.

Looking to add some garage cabinets to the house we recently moved into. Two good recommendations on this thread with Sabre and Garagecabinets.com. Any other brands I should look at? The reviews of the ones at Lowe's and Home Depot are less than stellar. I have 90" to play inside and I like this one from Saber but need to decide if the premium cost is worth it. I'm ok with a cry once price if the quality is there. Thanks!

I've been very happy with my saber cabinets.

Thanks for the response! Looks like the same set up as the unit I would purchase except I would have the tall locker cabinet located elsewhere due to my garage's layout. Do these feel like quality units with heavy gauge steel and quality hardware? The shipping weight is substantially higher than some of the other big box store brands so I would assume so.

Yeah, they are heavy duty and good quality. Smooth door tracks too. I've already thought about getting a new set for a barn I'm planning to build.
