Does anyone have any upholstery places they'd recommend? I need a couple of cushions made for a vintage metal chair. I've found a place that does them for about $500 each which is way above what I'm willing to spend for these. I'd like to talk to someone and find out what is realistic/reasonable…

We used a hole in the wall place in Rowlett a few years ago to do some chairs my wife wanted done. They were the best price we found and easy to work with and we were very happy with the end product.

No personal experience, but I've heard you find people on etsy that can do stuff like this with your fabric. See what you can find on there.

I've got 2 of the Director chairs from this old catalog. I found a couple of places that sell cushions for them for $4-500 each which is absurd imo. At least I hope that's "absurd" and not "reality".

Do those even have any kind of hard backing? They look like just foam covered in fabric. I can't imagine that being super expensive to make if so.

Just foam covered in fabric. That's it.
