Son purchased an older house last month (his first) and is doing some upgrades to it before he and his fiance move in after they get married next month.

Today the drywall sub contacted him and told him his chimney is leaking. It already has a brand new roof and while tearing out baseboards it appears to have been leaking a while.

He can hear water dripping onto the fire box. My guess is it is coming from the top of the chimney.

The Chimney is wood/siding not brick.

Who would you recommend to come look and hopefully be able to fix this for a reasonable price?

I had issues with my chimney and used this guy. He installed a cricket and new flashing at the roof and improved the flashing detail and caulking at the shoulders that protrude from the house. Seems to have done the trick. Cost in 2022 was $1,225.
