I am in the process of quoting some different insurance companies. Does anyone have any experience with Germania (good or bad)? Thanks in advance!

Been with Germania through https://www.hermes-insurance.com/ since 2000.
No complaints at all.

She actually emailed me a couple months ago to let me know that with insurance rates going up, she shopped my policies and Germania was still the best option. Also made some suggestions on how to get more savings. I was impressed.

Germania does not pop into my mind as one I've had issues or required me to fight excessively to get my customer helped out. I think they are among the better carriers in terms of "ease of use" if you will.

Former Germania customer. Moved to Safeco (price). Safeco was awesome with a water issue in my house. My comment here is to make sure you have loss of use (reimbursed for housing if you can't stay in your house). My policy did not have that written in it when I was with Germania. Learned that after the fact. Thankful it was not an issue.

Appreciate that. I checked and do not currently have that coverage. Just emailed my agent.

Update: she let me know i do have loss of use. Guess I don't have reading comprehension!

Been with Germania over 15 years, they have been very good...our local agent is an Aggie.

My parents were with Germania for over 30 years without making a claim. After paying out for a new roof after a bad hail storm a few years ago they got dropped.
