old upright freezer is frosting up inside. pretty sure it needs a new door gasket, but cannot locate one.

any leads on a gasket for a Kenmore 24151? Probably at least 15 years old.

We have one of a similar age, not sure of the model. It built up a really thick frost the last few times and then I noticed the plug/gasket around the cooling line coming through the cabinet had slid up so there was a large open hole. I put it back in place and so far it has been much slower to frost over. Just something to check out in case it's not really the gasket.

Have you looked at the universal gaskets? Comes in a roll and you cut to size

If it has an internal drain for defrosting cycle, check that it's not plugged or filled with ice. That caused mine to frost around the door. Seal was fine after blockage cleared.

Otherwise check appliancepartspros.com

Thanks all. Ran out of daylight to fool with it today.

Going to check out the suggested troubleshooting tomorrow.
