Going to be converting our existing kitchen cabinets from overlay to inset. Instead of building new face frames, I plan to just use a template to flush trim all the rails and stiles down to the new width. Wanted to get everyone's input on the different widths they prefer to see. Right now the plan was to go 1.5" on everything but have also seen on some woodworking forums that cabinet builders are using 1.5" for the perimeter stiles and rails and all the interior ones, they are using 1" to gain as much opening space as possible and prevent the drawer fronts from appearing too small. Thoughts?
